“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world— our faith.” – 1 John 5:4
The victory is already won and is complete.
Rev. Patrick Vincent
“For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world— our faith.” – 1 John 5:4
The victory is already won and is complete.
“For assuredly He does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the descendant of Abraham.” – Heb. 2:16
It is not angels God helps, it is Man.
There is no salvation for fallen angels, only fallen amen.
“For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment;” 2 Pet. 2:4
“This is my comfort in my affliction: for Thy word hath quickened me.” – Psa. 119:50
God’s word will resuscitate you, bring you back from the dead, and revive you.
“May God work in us what is pleasing to Him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen.” – Heb 13:21
God works in us what is pleasing to Him.
And that, through Jesus.
I PRAY that God would make us love as Jesus loves.
To Him be glory forever.
“yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live.” – 1 Cor. 8:6
It is through the Lord Jesus Christ that we live.
“How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God! Therefore the children of men put their trust under the shadow of Your wings. They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.” – Psa. 36:7-8
Some verses just sing.
How precious is God’s kindness. When we put our trust in Him, God exceeds our wildest expectations – not with earthly health and wealth, but – with the fullness of His house.
That’s verses 7-8. The icing on the cake is verse 9: “For with You is the fountain of life; In Your light we see light.”
He is the source, not us or our circumstances or our feelings. Because of Him we see the world as it truly is.
Like I said: Sings.
“Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law. And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed.” – Rom. 13:10-11
We fulfill God’s law when we love our neighbor. Very simply love is this: doing no harm to our neighbor and seeking their needs above our own.
The Lord’s coming is nearer than ever before. Therefore, love like never before.
The perfect verse?
“But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.” – 1 Cor. 15:57

“This present age is so flippant that if a man loves the Savior he is a fanatic, and if he hates the powers of evil he is a bigot.” – Spurgeon
And that was written in the 1880’s.
