I, Myself Will Search

“For This says the Lord God: ‘Behold I, I myself will search for my sheep and I will seek them out.'” – Ezekiel. 34:11

Must mean free will.

“A lost sheep never seeks it’s owner, The Shepherd must seek his sheep. ” – Arthur Pink

Create In Me a Clean Heart

“Create in me a clean heart, O God.” – Psa. 51:10

Note: who does the creating; Man or God? Does Man make his own heart clean or is it the work of God?

Lay your heart before God.

Pray for a holy heart.

Thomas Watson says “Lord, my heart is full of leprosy; it defiles all it touches.”

Refine and purify our heart and make it a temple fit for Thee.

A Tale That Is Told

“We spend our years as a tale that is told – Psa. 90:9

Here’s a tricky lie: we have plenty of time. The truth is: TIME FLIES. The days and weeks zip by and are gone forever.

The NASB translates this as: “We have finished our years like a sigh.”

This life is fleeting. Do you know where you are going?

Put Their Trust In Him

“Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.” – Psa. 2:12

Blessed” in Greek means, “happy.”

Happy are those who put their trust in Jesus.

Where are you putting your trust?

Christ receives sinners. Will you come?

Everything is God’s

“Everything under heaven is Mine.” – God (Job 41:11)

Everything is God’s.

If any man love not the Lord

If any man love not the Lord Jesus Christ, let him be Anathema* Maranatha!**” – 1 Cor. 16:22

Imagine if men preached like this today!

*Anathema is Greek for “cursed.”

** Marantha is Greek for “Lord, come!”

Held On To Peter and John

“For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” Now as the lame man who was healed held on to Peter and John, all the people ran together to them in the porch which is called Solomon’s, greatly amazed.” – Acts 3:11

I had never noticed that the healed man “held on to Peter and John” before. That’s a nice little eyewitness detail that lends to the Scripture’s veracity. Makes sense, doesn’t it?

I would hold on to the people who healed me from a lifelong illness too!

As many as God will call

“For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” – Acts 2:39

As many as God will call. It is all God.

Thou Shalt Be Called Hephzibah

Thou shalt no more be termed Forsaken; neither shall thy land any more be termed Desolate: but thou shalt be called Hephzibah, and thy land Beulah: for the LORD delighteth in thee, and thy land shall be married.” – Isa. 62:4

Where does righteousness grow but in a holy heart?

God can take a Forsaken and Desolate heart and make it one He delights in and marries.

(Hephzibah is “my delight is in her,” a fanciful name for Zion.)

Instantly Serving God Day and Night

Unto which promise our twelve tribes, INSTANTLY SERVING God day and night, hope to come. For which hope’s sake, king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews.” – Acts 26:7 (Emphasis mine)

What if our service to God took on this kind of zeal and intensity?
