“Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy.” – 1 Tim. 1:13

Literally, “I was bemercied.” Even though we deserve God’s wrath, He bemercies us.

Let them do so with joy and not with grief

“Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you.” – Heb. 13:17

Godly leaders are under constant pressure that they must one day give an account to God of the care they have taken of His sheep. Listen to them, that they may do so joyfully and not with grief.

The Truth Is In Jesus

“if indeed you have heard Him and have been taught by Him, as the truth is in Jesus” – Eph. 4:21

The Truth Is In Jesus.

The opposite is also equally true.

Well Done

Well done, good and faithful servant; you were faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.” – Jesus (Matt. 25:21)

No higher praise can be given.

Ten with Ten Pounds, Part 2

“The first came forward and said: “Master, your pound has earned ten more pounds!’” – Luke 19:16

What are you doing with the gifts God gave you?

Ten with Ten Pounds, Part 1

“So he called ten of his servants and gave them ten pounds. ‘Put this money to work,’ he said, ‘until I come back.'” – Luke 19:13

Everything is a gift from God and He expects us to put it to work for His Kingdom.

The Doctrine of Imputed Righteousness

“But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God—and righteousness and sanctification and redemption—“ – 1 Cor. 1:30

The doctrine of imputed righteousness plainly stated.

Content In Whatever Circumstances

“I have learned to be content in whatever circumstances I am.” – Phil. 4:11

Ultra-countercultural verse for our society today which seems malcontent in whatever circumstance it is.
