“Who established the mountains by His strength, Being clothed with power; – Psa. 65:6
The mountains did not make themselves. God, through His mighty power, established them.
Rev. Patrick Vincent
“Who established the mountains by His strength, Being clothed with power; – Psa. 65:6
The mountains did not make themselves. God, through His mighty power, established them.
“By awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us, O God of our salvation, You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of the far-off seas;” – Psa. 65:5
God is our confidence.
“And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment” Heb. 9:27
Reincarnation is not a Biblical concept.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” – Eph. 2:10
We are saved FOR good works, not BY good works.
“Take care and be calm, have no fear and do not be fainthearted,” – Isa. 7:4
The Christian attitude is marked by calm; a settled inner repose of quiet unaffected by circumstances.
“Jesus fills all in all.” – Eph. 1:23
Jesus constantly pervades all things with His love and power (cf. Jer. 23:24; 1 Kings 8:27; Psa. 139:7).
“Our God is a consuming fire!” – Heb. 12:29
In case you were told sin is not that big of a deal.
“many are called, but few are chosen.” – Jesus (Matt. 22:14)
Jesus does not say “many are called, but few chose.”
“He can have compassion on those who are ignorant and going astray,” – Heb. 5:2a
Jesus deals gently with struggling believers.
“For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.” – Heb. 4:15
In Greek Sympathize means more than “feeling pity and sorrow for someone else’s misfortune.” It’s a compound word: sun (with) and paschó (to suffer).
Jesus suffers with our weakness. He is there with us as we are tempted… or as we failed a temptation.
