“Gracious is the LORD, and righteous; Yes, our God is merciful.” – Psa. 116:5
God is gracious, righteous, and merciful.
“Even though I was once a blasphemer and a persecutor and a violent man, I was shown mercy.” – 1 Tim. 1:13
Literally, “I was bemercied.” Even though we deserve God’s wrath, He bemercies us.
“Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; But he who trusts in the Lord, mercy shall surround him.” – Psa. 32:10
Which will it be sorrows or mercy?
“Who established the mountains by His strength, Being clothed with power; – Psa. 65:6
The mountains did not make themselves. God, through His mighty power, established them.
“By awesome deeds in righteousness You will answer us, O God of our salvation, You who are the confidence of all the ends of the earth, And of the far-off seas;” – Psa. 65:5
God is our confidence.
“And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment” Heb. 9:27
Reincarnation is not a Biblical concept.
“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them.” – Eph. 2:10
We are saved FOR good works, not BY good works.
“Take care and be calm, have no fear and do not be fainthearted,” – Isa. 7:4
The Christian attitude is marked by calm; a settled inner repose of quiet unaffected by circumstances.
“Jesus fills all in all.” – Eph. 1:23
Jesus constantly pervades all things with His love and power (cf. Jer. 23:24; 1 Kings 8:27; Psa. 139:7).
“Our God is a consuming fire!” – Heb. 12:29
