Even when I am old and gray, God, do not abandon me

“And even when I am old and gray, God, do not abandon me, Until I declare Your strength to this generation, Your power to all who are to come.” – Psa. 71:18

A great prayer that God will sustain us in our old age, not for us, but that we may pass on the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the next generation.

God has appointed

“In the day of prosperity be joyful, But in the day of adversity consider: Surely God has appointed the one as well as the other,” – Ecc. 7:14

Prosperity and adversity have both been Divinely Appointed.

Let us be strong

“Be of good courage, and let us be strong for our people and for the cities of our God. And may the LORD do what is good in His sight.” – Joab (2 Sam. 10:12)

There is a need for bravery.

Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight

Remember the Lord, great and awesome, and fight for your brethren, your sons, your daughters, your wives, and your houses.” – Neh. 4:14

Remember God, great and awesome, and fight.

Finally all of you

Finally, all of you be of one mind, having compassion for one another; love as brothers, be tenderhearted, be courteous.” – 1 Pet. 3:8

Finally, all of you: be of one mind.

Finally, all of you: have compassion for one another.

Finally, all of you: love as brothers.

Finally, all of you: be tenderhearted.

Finally, all of you: be courteous.

God is our shield and exceedingly great reward

“Do not be afraid, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward.” – God (Gen. 15:1)

God is our shield and exceedingly great reward.
