Victory That Has Overcome The World

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world; and this is the victory that has overcome the world— our faith.” – 1 John 5:4

The victory is already won and is complete.

God Does Not Give Help To Angels

For assuredly He does not give help to angels, but He gives help to the descendant of Abraham.” – Heb. 2:16

It is not angels God helps, it is Man.

There is no salvation for fallen angels, only fallen amen.

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment;” 2 Pet. 2:4

“I am the wheat of God” – Ignatius

First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.” – Jesus (Matt. 13:30)

As Ignatius was martyred, he prayed, “I am the wheat of God. Let me be ground by the teeth of wild beasts that I may be found the pure bread of Christ.”

Jesus says there are only two crops: wheat and tares. There are no hybrids.

Which are you?

Jesus also says there are only two destinations: the fire or His barn.

Where are you headed?

But They Made Light Of It

But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise:” – Matt. 22:5

When given the truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, many make light of it. They go their way; off to home or off to work.

To make light of Christ’s sacrifice, to make light of eternity outside His loving embrace, to make light of the word of Truth… how tragic.

Pray for God to open their hearts, so they might hear and believe!

I, Myself Will Search

“For This says the Lord God: ‘Behold I, I myself will search for my sheep and I will seek them out.'” – Ezekiel. 34:11

Must mean free will.

“A lost sheep never seeks it’s owner, The Shepherd must seek his sheep. ” – Arthur Pink

Create In Me a Clean Heart

“Create in me a clean heart, O God.” – Psa. 51:10

Note: who does the creating; Man or God? Does Man make his own heart clean or is it the work of God?

Lay your heart before God.

Pray for a holy heart.

Thomas Watson says “Lord, my heart is full of leprosy; it defiles all it touches.”

Refine and purify our heart and make it a temple fit for Thee.

A Tale That Is Told

“We spend our years as a tale that is told – Psa. 90:9

Here’s a tricky lie: we have plenty of time. The truth is: TIME FLIES. The days and weeks zip by and are gone forever.

The NASB translates this as: “We have finished our years like a sigh.”

This life is fleeting. Do you know where you are going?

Put Their Trust In Him

“Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.” – Psa. 2:12

Blessed” in Greek means, “happy.”

Happy are those who put their trust in Jesus.

Where are you putting your trust?

Christ receives sinners. Will you come?

Everything is God’s

“Everything under heaven is Mine.” – God (Job 41:11)

Everything is God’s.

How the mighty have fallen!

How the mighty have fallen! – 2 Sam. 1:19

“Shall not this loud alarm awaken us out of our vain dream of an earthly immortality? When the mighty has fallen–shall not the feeble tremble?” – Samuel Davies

No matter how great the man (here Saul and Jonathan), the same fate awaits us all. As the Preacher said, “How vain are all things beneath the sun! Vanity of vanities; all is vanity!”

Trust in Jesus, repent of your sins, and be saved before it is too late.
