People of all types came to Jesus from every direction. Their paths were different, but their center was the same.

“And now, Lord, what wait I for? my hope is in Thee.” – Psa. 39:7
All our hopes hang upon Him.
“This is my comfort in my affliction: for Thy word hath quickened me.” – Psa. 119:50
God’s word will resuscitate you, bring you back from the dead, and revive you.
“For this reason I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,” – Eph. 3:14
To whom do you bow your knees?
“But to him who does not work but believes on Him who justifies the ungodly, his faith is accounted for righteousness,” – Rom. 4:5
The person who’s faith is accounted for righteousness is the person who does not lean on his or her own works, but rather, who relies solely on God.
God is the one who justifies the sinner, not the sinner’s actions or accomplishments.
It’s not based on us, but Him.
“Peter, an apostle of Jesus Christ, To the pilgrims of the Dispersion in Pontus, Galatia, Cappadocia, Asia, and Bithynia, elect according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, in sanctification of the Spirit, for obedience and sprinkling of the blood of Jesus Christ: Grace to you and peace be multiplied.” – 1 Pet. 1:1-2
Look, I know this is weird. We are all feeling it. The last place we want to be on Sunday is at home. We love Christ’s bride. We love our church. But the church is more than a building; it’s the people.
Right now we are “exiled,” as it were. During this time, I stand with Peter and pray grace to you and peace be multiplied!

The Coronavirus is nothing compared to the Angel of Death appointed by God at the Passover, but the mandate is similar: stay inside for a time.
I am praying for you. I know these are unprecedented times and we are all in unknown territory.
Please do your part: STAY INSIDE.
“to God, alone wise, be glory through Jesus Christ forever. Amen.” Rom. 16:27
Why is it that Man flips this natural divine order: Man, alone is wise. Man, alone gets the glory?
No.
God, alone is wise.
God, alone gets the glory.
It is all God, from start to finish, through His Son, Jesus Christ.
“that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge,” – 1 Cor. 1:5Everything is enriched by Jesus.
Everything is improved, enhanced, upgraded, sweetened, and adorned by the Son of Man.
Without Him, everything is dulled, decreased, reduced, and lessened.
Do you know Him?
“‘There was a certain creditor who had two debtors. One owed five hundred denarii, and the other fifty. And when they had nothing with which to repay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more?‘ Simon answered and said, ‘I suppose the one whom he forgave more.’ And He said to him, ‘You have rightly judged.’”- Luke 7:41-43
Those who have been forgiven of much, love much.
