Secure in the Lord’s hand.
“This is the promise which He Himself made to us: eternal life.” – 1 John 2:25
The Lord never breaks His promise.
“This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. Hear Him!” – God (Matt. 17:5)
We must hear God’s Son, Jesus.
“looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” – Heb. 12:2
Jesus is the author and finisher of our faith.
“being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ;” – Phil. 1:6
God begins it and completes it.
“For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God: but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.” – 2 Cor. 2:17
Corrupt here was used when merchants mingled water in with their wine, to dilute it. We don’t water down the word of God.
“Our help is in the name of the LORD, Who made heaven and earth.” – Psa. 124:8
Our help is in the name of the Lord.
“Yours, O LORD, is the greatness, The power and the glory, The victory and the majesty; For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours; Yours is the kingdom, O LORD, And You are exalted as head over all.” – 1 Chr. 29:11
In His sovereignty, God rules the entire universe.
“But we are bound to give thanks to God always for you, brethren beloved by the Lord, because God from the beginning chose you for salvation through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth,” – 2 Thes. 2:13
God from the beginning chose you for salvation.
Then I heard something like the voice of a great multitude and like the sound of many waters, and like the sound of mighty peals of thunder, saying, “Hallelujah! For the Lord our God, the Almighty, reigns.” – Rev. 19:6
