God extends His “shadow” over the believer who places himself under His protection.

“You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not leave him unpunished who takes His name in vain.” – Exd. 20:7

“His mouth is most sweet, Yes, he is altogether lovely. This is my beloved, And this is my friend,” – Song of Solomon 5:16
The unrivaled BEAUTY of Jesus.
“Put the beauty of ten thousand worlds of paradises, like the Garden of Eden in one; put all trees, all flowers, all fragrances, all colors, all tastes, all joys, all loveliness, all sweetness in one. O what a lovely and excellent thing would that be! And yet it would be LESS compared to our dearest well-beloved Christ–than one drop of rain compared to the whole seas, rivers, and lakes of ten thousand earths.”– Samuel Rutherford (1600-1661)
“I am the man who has seen misery Because of the rod of His wrath.“ – Lam. 3:1
Hear the words of one intensely mourning.

“He calms the storm, So that its waves are still.“ – Psa. 107:29
The Christian attitude is marked by calm.
