“The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart: his words were softer than oil, yet were they drawn swords.” – Psa. 55:21
Have you ever met someone like that: their words are like butter, but war was in their heart?
If we are not careful, believers can be like that. It should not be so with children of the King.
To have war in our hearts is antithetical to the elect. To speak words like daggers is the opposite of compassion and mercy.
May our words always be with grace (Col. 4:6).
May peace be in our hearts (John 14:27).
