Called Christians

The disciples were first called  Christians at Antioch.” – Acts 11:26

What does it mean to be called “Christian?”

Literally, it means to be “like Christ.” Are you like Christ?

“Alexander the Great had a fellow in his army who had his same name–but was a coward. ‘Either be like me,’ said Alexander to him, ‘or lay aside my name!'” – Samuel Davies

How do we become like Christ?

The terms of discipleship are laid out by Christ Himself:

“If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me!” (Luke 9:23)

Whoever claims to live in Him, must walk as Jesus did.” (1 John 2:6)

Tall order, but our order nonetheless.
