“For the LORD shall rise up as in mount Perazim, He shall be wroth as in the valley of Gibeon, that He may do his work, His strange work; and bring to pass His act, His strange act.” – Isa. 28:21
The Holy Spirit refers to God inflicting punishment as “His strange work” and “His strange act.”
It’s strange for God to work or act in anything but love. God is love (1 John 4:8), yet He is holy (Isa. 6:3).
