Enter By the Narrow Gate

Enter by the narrow gate” – Jesus (Matt. 7:13)

That is a command. Jesus didn’t say pick or choose; He said You must enter the one and reject the other.

To enter the wide gate is to disobey Jesus’s command.

I Chose You and Appointed You

You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit,” – Jesus (John 15:16)

Jesus chooses us (Gr. = “to select by a highly deliberate choice with a definite outcome; as with the destination of divine selection for salvation”)

and appoints us (Gr. = “put, place, lay, set, fix, establish“)…

to go (Gr. = “to lead away under someone’s authority“)…

and bear fruit.

To This One I Will Look

For My hand made all these things, Thus all these things came into being, but to this one I will look, To him who is humble and contrite of spirit, and who trembles at My word.” – God (Isa. 66:2)

God made all things. He takes special note of those with humility, with a repentant attitude, and one who fears His word.

Ye know not what ye ask

Ye know not what ye ask.” – Jesus (Matt. 20:22)

Prosperity Gospel and Word of Faith folk say ask in faith and God is obligated to give. Your faith activates Him.

That’s not what happened with Salome; She asked Jesus for something. This was His response: No.

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Lovingkindness and truth go before You.” – Psa. 89:14

Righteousness and justice are the foundation of God’s throne and rule.

God lives on justice.

He loves righteousness (Psa. 45:7).

Touching the Almighty

Touching the Almighty, we cannot find Him out: He is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: He will not afflict.” – Job 37:23

Just and right is He. God is perfect in power, judgement, and justice.

I, Myself Will Search

“For This says the Lord God: ‘Behold I, I myself will search for my sheep and I will seek them out.'” – Ezekiel. 34:11

Must mean free will.

“A lost sheep never seeks it’s owner, The Shepherd must seek his sheep. ” – Arthur Pink

Create In Me a Clean Heart

“Create in me a clean heart, O God.” – Psa. 51:10

Note: who does the creating; Man or God? Does Man make his own heart clean or is it the work of God?

Lay your heart before God.

Pray for a holy heart.

Thomas Watson says “Lord, my heart is full of leprosy; it defiles all it touches.”

Refine and purify our heart and make it a temple fit for Thee.
