Insights from Proverbs 28

Insights from Proverbs 28 for the 28th:

Chapter 28 starts off with a bang: the righteous are bold as a lion!

Then there are a bunch of verses letting us know that it’s ok if we are not earthly wealthy for we are heavenly wealthy (this, of course, due to the work of Jesus Christ).

Solomon offers a red flag for us to watch out for: anyone who is a glutton; disregards rules, laws, or personal boundaries – such a person shames his father. Don’t go down with their ship! (V. 7)

I’d like to point out just one other verse:

“Happy is the man who is always reverent, but he who hardness his heart will fall into calamity.” (v. 14)

This verse can be applied in so many ways; the work place, the homestead, and one’s spiritual body. You’ll be much more happy if you are respectful of others and to your Lord.

I hope you are enjoying studying a Proverb a day.
