Sons and Daughters

2 Cor. 6:18

2 Cor. 6:18

One of Britt and I’s favorite bands is “All Sons & Daughters.” If you have not checked them out, please do so. I’m positive that they will be a blessing for you.

If you are all like, “I don’t like KLove Music! It’s overly-polished studio Pop that plays the same 10 songs over and over!”Well, I agree with you on most counts there, but All Sons & Daughters are not like most of K-Love’s fare. They are a more personal and meditative listen. They draw you in with deep Worship. Every lyric points back to the cross and to Jesus. They are for real. Sold-out for The LORD.

“I will be a Father to you,
and you will be my sons and daughters,
says the Lord Almighty.” – 2 Cor. 6:18

If we obey our Father, we will all be sons and daughters. If we are all sons and daughters then we are heirs to the our Father’s Kingdom. If we are heirs to our Father’s Kingdom then we are joint-heirs with Christ. If we share in His suffering, we may also share in His Glory (Romans 8:17). There is nothing we could do to earn this inheritance. We have been adopted, rescued, and saved. The inheritance has been freely given. That’s a promise from the Lord God Almighty. That’s enough for me.

Take a few minutes this evening and listen to this band. Close your eyes. Lift up your arms. Open your heart. Worship with them. I bet you will find yourself changed!
